Senior Project Manager

Help a major UK utility shift from smart‑metering foundations to real, measurable outcomes. You will take charge of pivotal Release One work-streams covering complex/first‑time installs, non‑household (business) metering, and the enablement needed to realise benefits such as customer‑side leakage reduction and demand reduction.

You will lead multi‑party delivery across internal SAP/Data teams and external suppliers at the moment when interface, integration and cutover decisions determine whether benefits land. The brief is clear, the need is urgent, and the scope has high visibility.

What will you do:

• Own Release One delivery end‑to‑end: scope, plan, RAID, dependencies and benefits tracking.
• Orchestrate internal SAP and Data teams across design, integration, testing and cutover.
• Manage vendors: align plans, set acceptance criteria and hold partners to account.
• Apply technical literacy to triage and steer (interfaces/APIs, failure modes, remediation).
• Report with clarity; surface trade‑offs; keep business and digital aligned.

Requirements: 

• Senior PM track record delivering multi‑vendor technology projects with SAP/Data or major technology transformation on the critical path.
• Confident RAID and dependency control; restores momentum when issues arise.
• Credible discussion of APIs/interfaces with engineers; clear translation for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Direct, low‑jargon communication and stakeholder management, demonstrating the gravitas to engage with senior stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Smart metering experience (water ideal; electricity highly transferable).
• SAP‑centric integrations in utilities or other regulated, asset‑heavy environments.
• Data/analytics enablement supporting leakage and demand‑reduction outcomes.
